Terms of use
Effective October 24, 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to the Evili app for iPhone (“the app”), made by Evili Inc. (“Evili”, “we”, “us”), based in Ontario, Canada. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. These terms are between you and Evili, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for the app or its content.
2. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the App Store’s usage rules.
3. Using the app
Only edit and store photos you have the right to use. The app is a tool to help cover license plates. Check every image before you post or share it, because we can’t guarantee every plate is fully covered.
4. Evili Pro
Evili Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. It isn’t a subscription and never renews. Pro removes ads and lifts the vault’s storage limit. You buy it through the Apple App Store, Apple bills you, and the price is shown in the app before you buy. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID, so you can restore it on other devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Refunds are handled by Apple under its refund policy.
5. Your photos and files
Photos and files you add to the app stay yours, and we don’t claim ownership of them. They’re stored only on your iPhone, are never uploaded to us, and we can’t see them. Vault files are encrypted, and you can choose to lock the vault with Face ID. Because we don’t keep a copy, deleting the app deletes the vault and everything in it, and we can’t recover it. Export anything you want to keep before you delete the app or change phones.
6. Ads
The free version of the app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Evili Pro removes them. The privacy policy explains what information ads use.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t use the app to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, and don’t copy, modify or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, Evili isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits consumer rights that can’t be waived under applicable law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.
